WCC Winners Again – CACC Championship Day.

Sunday 13th March was the Chiltern’s Association of Camera Clubs ‘Championship Day’ and, of course, Watford camera Club was well represented. There was a standalone Chilterns 100 category for individuals to enter an image of their own choice. 20 members took up the challenge and with 10 images scoring 13 or 14 out of 15 marks – we were the strongest club.

More significantly we were also competing in two inter club competitions on the day – the PDI and Print Championships. The competition was hot with 18 and 13 clubs respectively – each entering 15 images. Amazingly we won both championships by a relatively comfortable margin. During the day, 5 of our members were given judges’ special awards including Martin Patten’s “Brown Eyed Girl” which was given Best Print of the competition. A stunning performance reflecting the strength of the club and we now anticipate the prospect of representing the CACC in the National championships later this year.
