Street Photography – David Gibson

We were very fortunate to have renowned Street Photographer David Gibson present to us in November. From the early 90s when he was using film to capture mono images, to the current day when he is now using digital and the colour median – his presentation gave us all a lesson in the real meaning of Street Photography. With virtually no post processing David believes in ‘capturing moments’ – with many of his images depicting bizarre situations which bordered on humourous. In addition his creative use of slow shutter speeds to produce abstract images was fascinating. A real education and a stimulus to get out and try it ourselves.
