Salute to the 40’s

A day out to Chatham Dockyard, Kent for “Salute to the 40’s” w/end of 21st/22nd September.

I will be going to this fabulous event on one of the 2 days and I will make the decison a few days before the event based on the weather forecast as it is 80% outdoors!

Tickets are £17.50…but keep them that is for a WHOLE YEAR from date of purchase!

As the title suggests it is young and old dressed up in a vast array of vintage 40’s apparel with a generous helping of vintage motorbikes, cars, busses, jeeps, fire engines even a submarine and warship to wander around or sit down and relax to the singers and musicians playing in the parade ground on the back of an Army lorry. If that’s not enough this is all complimented with a mock battle around the harbour which is noisy and fabulous at the same time.

I thoroughly recommend it as a great day out the people that take part in this event a very agreeable to having their pictures taken so those of you that are not used to this style of photography will not feel anxious about taking photos of these wonderful people.

If anyone is interested I would suggest car sharing @ £10 a seat with £5 going to the club & £5 to the driver for petrol.

Any questions please get in touch, thanks…..Steven Bockling
