Michelle Cirkel wins Watford Camera Club’s end of season best of the best Print Competition and Jan Gunc wins the Projected.
Many congratulations to Michelle Cirkel who has won the Club Cup, “Best Print of all Prints” and to Jan Gunc for winning the Mike Zealy Trophy “Best PDI of all PDIs (Projected Digital Image) 2015/16 at Watford Camera Club on 16th June 2016. This competition is the final contest held at the end of each season featuring all placed images (1sts, 2nds & 3rds) in the general competitions, that run throughout the year.
The winning print, “Village Boy” won the 4th Primary Print Competition on the 17th March 2016 to qualify. It has also reached the final of the Ron Wake Competition, which is to be held at Harrow Camera Club on the 6th September later this year.
Michelle has recently become one of Watford Camera Club’s finest photographers, this season winning the SJ Gray Trophy for most points in the projected Set Subjects and promotion from Primary to Intermediates. Another fantastic achievement by Michelle was to win last year’s Ron Wake Competition with “Cat & Mouse”, click here for details.
Jan Gunc’s won the Mike Zeally Trophy, “Best PDI of all PDIs” with “Pipe dreams” which was placed 2nd in the 3rd PDI primary competition on the 10th December 2015 to qualify. Jan has moved abroad to China, so was unable to attend and receive his trophy, however I am informed he will be contacted and informed of his fine achievement. Very well done Jan!
Many thanks from Watford Camera Club to Maggie Tear who did a great job of judging and choosing our winners.
It’s interesting to note that both “Best of the best” trophies were won by Primary members, the so called beginners section.
