IDEAS – ideas for possible “DAYS OUT”!

I know some of you from conversations are struggling for ideas of things to do…so I have trawled around the wubwubwub and found some different and hopefully interesting (for some of you) things to go out and tog…I have kept the ideas to a couple of hours driving so it is a day trip.

If any of you fancy doing one of these then please get in touch with me as soon as you decide to do it and I will then post it as an official “Day Out” and then others may join in.

1 –  ROYAL BERKSHIRE SHOW, on 21st and 22nd September 2013 The Showground alongside the M4 junction 13 near Newbury Berkshire. Open 8am to 6pm each day. As well as agricultural activities, livestock competitions, food stalls and trade stands there will also be a fun fair and will end with hot air balloons rising en mass, weather permitting.

2 – THE GREAT GORILLA RUN, 21st Sept.  London. 10.30am-12.30pm. 1000 runners in gorilla suits race 7km around the city for charity. Start and finishes at Mincing lane, with the route taking them through Lower Thames St, south over Tower Bridge, west past HMS Belfast, north over London Bridge, south over Southwark Bridge, north over Blackfriars Bridge, Queen Victoria St, Cornhill, and back to Mincing Lane.

3 – SOUTHWELL SHOW, 28th Sept, Blidworth Dale, Ravenshead, Notts. 8.30am-6pm. General ploughing, vintage ploughing / horse ploughing competitions, show jumping, side saddle displays, shire horses, private driving, steam engines, threshing demonstration, dog show and rural crafts, framers market and trade stands.

4 –  WILTSHIRE COUNTRY FAYRE, 28th / 29th September Bowood House, nr Calne, Wiltshire. Clay Shooting, Fishing Village, Falconry Village, Dog Show, Equestrian events, craft village and LOTS  more.

Well there are a few things over the next couple of weeks that will hopefully appeal to you… even if it doesn’t seem like your thing you can and will find things to shoot at all these events AS LONG AS YOU ARE THERE….the only reason you won’t is… YOU DIDN’T BOTHER GOING!

Have fun and I look forward to seeing the results, Steve
