First day back of the 2020-21 season

Our first day back of the new season was held online on Thursday due to the current pandemic. It was good to see so many people attending, albeit remotely and we managed to run our traditional opening competitions; The Prime Lens Challenge and images for the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s calendar, the theme this year was Listed Buildings in the Watford Area. Our judge for the evening was Steven Galvin from Marlow Camera Club and he had 19 set subject images and 40 prime lens challenge images. Despite some difficulty with the audio he managed to choose his favourites of the evening.

Congratulations to Patrick Sheehanach for winning the PLC with his image ‘Droplets’. Gaurav Gajjar came second with ‘Ray of Light’ and Caroline Mocket third with ‘St Peter’s’.

The Set Subject was won by Andrew Robertson with ‘The Sun Tower’; second place was Michelle Cirkel with ‘Salters Gardens’; third place was Neetha Atukorale with ‘Watford Palace Theatre’. Well done to all who took part, and special thanks to Gavin for giving up his time to judge for us.
