Club Successes
This has been another good year for our club. We have over 70 members with a good mix of photographers of all abilities and ages. Watford Camera Club won both the Park Street Landscape competition, beating 11 other clubs plus the St. Albans n-Way competition against 8 other clubs. In addition, Lloyd Moore’s Feeding Nuts to the Young won best image in competition.

Several members have gained awards and accreditations this season. Many now enter national and international competitions. Terri Adcock has gained her BPE2* (British Photographic Exhibitions); AFIAP (Féderation Internationale de l’Art Photographique) and PPSA (Photographic Society of America) all in one season (clever girl).
Martin Patten achieved his BPE3* and QPSA; Selector’s Awards at Robin Hood, Rushden and Solihull BPEs plus a Bronze Medal at South Birmingham BPE. Both Terri and Martin are now listed in the Who’s Who in Photography 2018 under the print sections. Well done to them both.
Chris Smyth and Michelle Cirkel qualified for BPE1* and BPE2* respectively.
Carrie Eva gained CPAGB (Photographic Alliance of Great Britain); AFIAP and LRPS (Royal Photographic Society) plus a Silver Medal in the PAGB Masters of Print.
Rod Eva gained CPAGB and AFIAP.
Lloyd Moore was awarded Selector’s Awards at Basingstoke and Frome BPEs; a Bronze Medal at South Birmingham and a Gold Medal at the Neath and District BPE Salon plus a Judge’s Award at the CACC Championships.
Whilst our club is not all about entering competitions, this is a reflection on how the standards are rising year on year. The emphasis is about enjoyment though, so have fun with your photography in all its forms
