About

Watford Camera Club is the oldest photographic club in Hertfordshire, having celebrated its centenary in 2003. Anyone interested in photography is welcome – from novices to experienced photographers.

If you are new to photography, joining Watford Camera Club will open up a whole new world for you. We have many knowledgeable members who are willing to share their knowledge. We hold weekly meetings which vary from practical hands on workshops to talks by photographers of many different genres, sharing their skills and knowledge and then there are the competitions.

Each month we hold competitions and have three different categories to cater for beginners, intermediates and the more advanced photographers. There is also a set subject competition in which members from all categories can take part. Towards the end of the season, things can get very exciting as overall winners for each competition are presented with their trophies. In addition, a variety of trophies are awarded to the authors of the best images that take part in our annual exhibition.

The Club takes part in “league˝ and “friendly˝ external competitions with various photographic clubs in the North West London and Chilterns areas.

Individual subscriptions are just £65 per annum, with reductions for families, senior citizens and full-time students.
